Cold Aloo Chaat- Savoury Potato Salad

Chaat is a Hindi term describing savoury snack, typically served at road-side stalls or carts. With its origins in east India, chaat has become very popular all over Indian Subcontinent.
The chaat specialities vary from city to city, but they are all relatively quick and easy to prepare and they are appreciated by people of all age groups. Kind of healthier alternative to Western fast food or drive-thru businessesJ

So, if you fancy a quick snack with a hint of tangy Eastern flavour, wanna prepare something in a hurry or you are a beginner when it comes to cooking- this recipe is for you! You really can’t go wrong with Aloo Chaat!

Tips:

Aloo Chaat may be a perfect starter or stand-alone snack, but it can also be offered with Indian flat breads or rice.

Mango and tamarind chutneys are the most commonly used to spice up the snack, but you can experiment with different flavours like: mint, cucumber, orange or aubergine. You can also garnish your chaat with almost anything you want. Diced bell peppers, mint leaves, onions or pomegranate seeds seem to be good alternative.

My personal no. 1- roasted corn chaat!
